The home is packed with features from a dock fit for a superyacht to a Jetson drone landing pad

A new mansion on the waterfront of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has hit the market with a $47.9 million price tag.

This is the second time the 2023 build has come up for sale in the last two years, but it’s the first time it’s being sold as a completed home. The sellers—the owner of a surgical center company and his wife—bought the home in March 2023 before it was finished for $29.5 million, according to property records. They were not available for comment.

The contemporary-style mansion—designed by Dov Stark’s Prestige Homes—is entirely made of porcelain slabs, both inside and out, according to Rick Teed of the Agency, who brought the property to market last week along with his colleague Daniel Tzinker. While the exterior of Florida homes near the water often need to be restored and repainted, Teed said the porcelain construction will keep the house from requiring that kind of maintenance.

“There is no sheetrock in this house—none,” Teed said. “It’s brilliant because porcelain can’t be damaged with salt air. It’s built to last.”

Another low-maintenance feature is the artificial turf that covers the backyard, the balconies that surround the second floor and the roof deck, minimizing landscaping duties to trimming the surrounding hedges.

The home’s interior is spread across 11,812 square feet, including six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and four half-baths.

Amenities fill the home—inside, there’s a full bar area with a pool table, a home theater and salt sauna. Outside, there’s a swimming pool, hot tub, and an outdoor kitchen and dining area off the main level. On the roof deck, there’s another hot tub, seating areas and two putting greens.

“There’s stuff going on all around the house, and to me, this is the genius of the house because you can have a hundred people there and it feels like you have a few friends over,” Teed said.

It’s being sold furnished, which includes both custom furnishings and pieces from Restoration Hardware—plus a giant Dom Pérignon sculpture.

The house is topped with a Jetson drone landing pad. Since a noise ordinance prevents the landing of a helicopter on the roof, the landing pad is equipped for the Jetson EV civilian drones, a novel aircraft that could be released as early as late this year.

There’s also a deep-water, 108-foot-long dock that can accommodate a superyacht.

This home is one of a handful of $40 million-plus listings in Fort Lauderdale right now, which is becoming more attractive to luxury buyers being priced out of Palm Beach and Miami, Teed said.

“Fort Lauderdale prices are going to come up to these other levels because the billionaires have already priced out the multi-millionaires,” he said.
